Retinal Screening

Retinal screening is offered at least once a year to all patients within Somerset who have a diagnosis of diabetes who are over the age of 12 years. Screening at least annually has the potential to improve quality of life through the early detection and treatment of diabetic eye disease.

Your feet are important especially when you have diabetes so you should have them screened at least once a year. The podiatry service can give you advice on how to look after your feet and what type of shoes to wear.
